well..not literally celebrating it...just a dinner out with Alice

according to that kayu...he was sick..
i was wondering...kayu will fall sick 1 meh?

was heading for some TGI Fridays, The Curve
but it was a total full house...even the waiting list is...45 mins?
so...we decided to head to their sister restaurant - Italiannies

back to the secondary school days..we have always wanted to dine in
coz it feels so...Italy
u know...have these fantasy of eating sushi in Japan
Coffee in Paris Street, Pizza in Italy, Choc in Belgium
so...start with something really near...
The Curve

having the same concept as the Fridays
its about sharing...super big portion foods

by the minute we sit down...they serve this
not really sure wad bread it is...
but its served along with olive oil + vineger
to wake your taste buds up i guess...





i want a wall like this at home...not tht cement texture lar...
but the picture frames..that old rustic home-y feel

and the pendant lamp...i like the frame...

Clam Linguine - Fresh Clam sauteed in garlic,
olive oil and clam broth, served over linguine pasta
sprinkled with chilli flakes

something new to us...coz got bored with carbonara and bolognese dy
its really heavy taste in clam...
not as oily as olio..just appropriately balanced taste
pinch of chilli flakes makes it alive in your taste buds

since there were 2 of us...we thought that one course might not be enough
so..we ordered another 1



Napoli Bianco Pizza
Italiannies signature beef meatballs,
beef pepperoni, diced chicken
on Alfredo sauce with melted mozzarella cheese

something that sounds simple from the menu
since it is Italiannies signture...why not give it a try?
worth a try coz its such a huge portion
if i were to be given a chance to makan pizza again...
it will not be the fast food chain store anymore

its so crusty...soft on the bread
the sauce...averagely seasoned into balance
so that the chicken and beef's taste is not overpowered
its so tender n juicy where u will not stop until its all finished
believe me...you would not want to stop



end up...we were wrong...coz its so freakishly huge portion
that kayu lar...if he were there to share...it would be easier...

oo...and we ordered a bottomless drink...

since we dont really like to eat
i only eat Snowskin's and Shanghai Mooncake (yam filling)

its Friday lunch
we have planned to go look for this famous Thai restaurant for quite a long time
then...was thinking to have it on thursday
but we were not free...went to the book fair

Mom started to complain'everyday also go out...big business how? no need come home d lor?' parents...

Anyway...I asked mom where is the restaurant before...
but didnt tell her that we r going to eat.. LOL
or else...she would have chop me into pieces

the restaurant is somewhere nearby the leprosy centre@ Sungai Buloh so...i refuel my car and began the searching journey along with huiying alice and fishball

A delightful appetizer...
Slightly spiced and sprinkled with barbequed sotong chunks & peanuts

Mixed Thai Tom Yum rm30 (M)
available in chicken/prawn...heavily spiced
and very very very exotic

Squid w/ Ginger & Chilli rm10 (S)
From the description... it sounded scary
but its scrambled into the perfection of the onion's sweetness
Added with few dried chillies chunks and very aromatic
surprisingly...its not as spicy as what we thought I would be

Chicken in Fragrant Leaves rm2.50 per piece
Their homemade specialties
not spicy at all...tasted a bit like satay with fragrant leaves
was expecting whole piece of chicken
they use minced chicken...not bad though

Thai Style Mango Salad rm10 (S)
Thought it will be refreshing...
ended up one of the hot dish...almost as spicy as the Tom Yum
personally...I dont like it

balik time...so romantic~!
Though it was raining...we can still feel the spicyness of the Tom Yum
through our swollen lips

The bill checked rm110+
along with 2 coconuts and rice x 6
they steam the rice in their mini steel bowls..
Instead of cooking them in the rice cooker
I think they can improve it by adding in a small piece of fragrant leaf
to improve the aroma..b'coz it has nothing different if u just have a look at it

do some light shopping...ended up..
I spent almost rm100

and I find this cool...

though..she was still in MMU Malacca
so..either an earlier celebration or a belated bday

INTERIORS MALAYSIA 2008 round 1

an annual event of the Malaysian Interior Landscape Businesses and they made it an international event this year where members from the IFI, APSDA etc are all invited and whole lot of events going on.

besides the exhibition of products itself, the Youth Talent Competition is a new one this year, instead of young talent exhibition back in 2007 Matrade INTERIORS

thus, here i am

the organiser, particularly the Young Talents Jugde Panels have made a clear requirement of the displayed boards where most colleges' submissions are in 1 pc of A0 size presentation board.
because they give us 4ftx 8ft panel per participants and do not allow the roll print presentation boards because its hard to read (according to the organiser)

when we reach there, a lot of college reresentatives are trimming cutting chopping barbering shaving slicing their boards into tiny tiny tiny pieces
some even went printing AGAIN

it was almost 3pm tht time, and me eng fishball baizura were waiting for big boss

it feels really comfortable to tuck yourself in there and makan
they serve Perrier and their pizza looks nice...

will come again but not that soon though...

as you ppl know...i stay @ Kepong
which is approx 10 mins from Desa Parkcity
the recently developed residential estate in Kepong
(that sells bungalows for 1 mil+ @ Kepong)
a bit crap i feel...coz my area still have some squatters around

went there today with MeiShin & FishBall
since we r all on holidays
and i cant stand watchin Sweeney Todd for the N time
scare will get fed up with Johnny Depp which i dun wan

10.30 -> woke up & text message them to gather for lunch
told them that i'll go fetch around 12.30
1.00 -> done fetching everybody & reach Waterfront
1.15 -> settled @ the Rakuzen Jap Restaurant

once u have settled down, they serve you their Hot/Cold Green Tea + Hot Towels



MeiShin came here before and she say this spot is kinda splendid for a student
though...just once in a while we think would be okay
but it ended up quite a good deal..for me

they do have Set Lunch in the Menu
i ordered this Nigiri Sushi Set (Seafood Sushi Set) inclusive of 8 sushis + 1 chawan mushi + miso soup + cut fruits for rm30

MeiShin ordered ala carte and this Soft Shell Crab California Roll...<-- rm8 per roll
Quite nice u know?

FishBall took a Udon Set..from the menu it shows the Udon + Chawanmushi + Salmon Sashimi..mana tau...end up there are rice underneath the Sashimi...he eat until he almost bloated...and it costs rm32 nia...wad a great deal~!
and there are scallops in the Udon~!!

after we ate...lepak @ the MaxValu Jusco there, and bought spaghetti...
coz feel like eating it tmr...then lepak to the lake in front (which is under construction of dancing lakewater feature) to the playground nearby

undoubt..the bungalows there is bloodily fascinating...totally different from the outside world...not even the Bandar Sri Damansara has anything similar
and they have a lot of plants all over the area
